Adults only classes are available including Tap for beginners, improvers and advanced, Jazzercise which is a mixture of basic jazz dance and exercises for fitness plus a general level ballet class for all abilities. Details on all of the genres we offer can be found here.
We promote dancing as a great way to keep fit and have fun whilst learning something new, as a potential career for those wishing to study more seriously or simply to enjoy the pure joy of dance.
With a variety of classes for every age or ability, everybody can join a class to suit them. Classes take place at Nursling and Rownhams Community Centre, Nursling and Rownhams Village Hall and St John's Church Hall also in Rownhams. For details of our classes and their venues please view our full timetable. Everyone is welcome to attend for free tasters of any dance genre they would like to try prior to committing to a term of lessons.
Our pupils are invited to enter ISTD examinations from Primary to Advanced level. ISTD Examinations from grade 5 and above provide UCAS points for those going into higher education. See the points tariff for these Examinations and find out more information here. Exams are held every term except during our school dance show period.
Every 2 years our pupils perform in our School Show held at The Point Theatre. This is a massive production in which our talented dancers spellbound you with their storytelling through dance. 2019 was our amazing production of Snow White which was a truly enjoyable and spectacular performance.
We are so proud to announce that we have beaten our annual record number of tappers in 2019 and we are just over the record of 7596 with currently, 7612 tappers!!! AMAZING! Well done everyone.
They are now in the process of submitting our attempt to the official organisation so all we can do is sit and wait (patiently) to see if we have achieved a new world record. We have been told it could take a couple of months for the outcome so fingers crossed.
